Writeaway Hotels Email Simulation


During this educational simulation, students play assigned roles to learn and apply communication principles. Characters and correspondence for a fictitious organization, Writeaway Hotels, help students master electronic communication. During this real-time session, students prioritize, respond to, and evaluate incoming emails and instant messages.

Students learn to analyze incoming messages within an organizational context and make decisions about whether, when, and how to respond to each message. As a result, they learn first-hand to manage the inevitable tradeoffs among timeliness, effectiveness, and accuracy.
