AI Adoption Visualization

Boris Cherny, the creator of Claude Code, developed a table, “Steps of AI Adoption,” a good example for students to analyze. To show a lot of information in stages, the table is a good choice, but it may be too dense for some audiences and purposes.

Here are a few ideas for classroom exercises:

  • Create an infographic based on the content.

  • Create an interactive tool for organizations to assess where they are and to identify requirements for getting to the next level.

  • Revise the content for an audience who is less technical, for example, senior leaders who are averse to or wary of AI.

  • Focus on one aspect of each step, for example, bottlenecks, and create a visual to illustrate that aspect.

  • Simplify the information for an oral presentation: perhaps a slide deck to accompany a webinar or in-person presentation.

Students might have other ideas for using the table content in different contexts.
